Mashed chickpea, with olive oil, tahini (adds creaminess), garlic, salt, and often lemon juice.
A fresh hearty taste, and typically only has healthy ingredients.
Variant ideas:
- sautee the chickpeas first
- roast the garlic dirst
- add hysop
- add tamari
- add red pepper, chipotle, or cayenne and/or paprika powder
- add (blanched) spinach
- add peanut butter ()
- add yoghurt
- and possibly things you'ld associate, like parsley, chives, or cilantro
