DOS

Probably easiest to run under DOSBox.

Windows

Needs WinG.

The windows version was developed for windows 3.1, so is a 16-bit app (installer, probably main game too(verify)).

This means it can be made to work in windowses up to and including Windows XP, though people do mention one or two crashing bugs.

Users of windows Vista/7/8 won't get it to install or run at all (16-bit stupport was dropped). It may be easiest to run the DOS version under DOSBox.

There are other tricks you can try, such as running DOS/windows 3.1 in an emulator.
