Dill is a plant whose seeds and leaves can be used as flavouring.

Its taste and smell is tangily sweet and grassy, resembling tea and perhaps anise.

Dill is regularly used in sauces and soups.

It is also used to spice up fish, vegetables, salads, egg dishes, cream sauces, cheeses, and potatoes.

Commonly used in Scandinavian and Baltic cooking.
