This article/section is a stub — probably a pile of half-sorted notes and is probably a first version, is not well-checked, so may have incorrect bits. (Feel free to ignore, or tell me)

Garlic (Allium sativum) is part of the onion family, one with a pungent, spicy flavour, which sweetens when cooked.

Garlic is usually used to add its spicy taste to a dish.

They can also e.g. be roasted to snack on directly.

In various languages
