Identifiers it supports:

• olid - OpenLibrary's identifiers look like OL7440033M, OL10221388W, and so.
  • The last letter is:
    • W for works (linked under /works/)
    • M for editions (linked under /b/)
    • A for author (linked under /a/)

• isbn - in ISN10 or ISBN13 form

• lccn

• oclc

• id - internal id, used in some places. You probably don't care about this much.

Worldcat Basic API

Dumbed down version of Worldcat Search API that iis free for noncommercial use (still needs a freqq-to-request web service key)

(OpenSearch, 1000 queries/day max, returns Atom or RSS, limited data)
