- a regular (part of a) beat made of three parts

- semantic triplets, e.g. in RDF
In linguistics
- etymological triplets (rather than just twins)
- minimal triplets, an extension of the idea of minimal pairs
- sometimes a reference to n-grams for n=3 (3-grams)
In math and programming, sometimes a reference to a 3-tuple, e.g. as in "rgb triplet"
