Microsoft WinG

This article/section is a stub — some half-sorted notes, not necessarily checked, not necessarily correct. Feel free to ignore, or tell me about it.

WinG is a graphics library that started life around the time of Windows 3.1 and lived into 95 and such.

Some software still used it many years later, mostly software with roots that long ago, among them Colonization for Windows.

Microsoft used to have a page about it, including download (KB 125698), but this has since been removed[1].

Googling for it will still turn up downloadable of WinG here and there. (Bug me if you can't find it)

The Colonization for Windows entry at The Underdogs used to have a link to a copy of WinG
