Unix spelling dictionaries

These can be interesting in that they provide dictionaries to and some work with basic linguistic knowledge (in most cases keeping storage size down with knowledge of affixes).

ispell

Dictionaries mostly under GPL (a few LGPL)

pspell

Effectively replaced by aspell.

Meant as a replacement for ispell.
