Frequency space filtering notes
That is:
- do an Fourier transform
- play with the frequency-space magnitudes
- do an inverse Fourier transform
...typically with the goal of attenuating different frequencies.
Since the information in both spaces is equivalent, such filtering makes sense whenever you can express a filter more easily in the frequency domain.
