This article/section is a stub — some half-sorted notes, not necessarily checked, not necessarily correct. Feel free to ignore, or tell me about it.

You can find the schematics for the device in its service manual mentioning how these are wired, and you will find hobbyism as well.

BUT note there are a few variants of the UHER 4000, with slightly different features (e.g. stero versus mono) and/or slightly different plugs, so double-check that it matches what you have.

  • 7-pin DIN
seems to contain separate wiring for mic and headphones(verify)
two mic ins (for stereo recording)
and two pins ground, and three pins unconnected(verify)

Radio

  • 3-pin DIN
    • mono in and out

OR Radio Phono

  • 5-pin DIN (180 degree)
    • stereo in and out

  • 6-pin DIN
  • variably used as
    • power in / charge
    • power out for accessory
